A Mobile Eye Camp sponsored by ANDHERi HILFE, Germany, was held on Friday at Lalmonirhat.

The eye camp was held at the Church of God High School in the district town from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The medical team of Khanjanpur Mission Health Service Eye Clinic in Jaipurhat has managed it.

In that eye camp, 132 beneficiaries received medical services by paying a registration fee of Tk 30. They underwent eye examinations and pathological tests, and prescriptions were issued.

The organizers said that 39 patients were found to have cataracts in their eyes during the eye examination by the medical team. 25 will be operated free of cost at the Mission Health Service Eye Clinic in Joypurhat. The rest 14 have high blood pressure and diabetes, so they have not informed their decision yet.

The medical team included Churches of God Mission’s Country Director, Dr. John Theothonas Costa, Mission Coordinator Milan Das, and Paramedic Md. Delwar Hossain, Ujjal Marandi, Shyamoli Roy were present. Farooq Hossain was the camp coordinator.
